Pope Francis Unveils Large-Scale Child Health-Care Program

In a major drive to improve children’s health worldwide, Pope Francis has initiated the Pope’s Global Alliance for Children’s Health, with the goal of helping one million children receive medical attention within the next three years. This audacious program aims at solving health crises in the least served regions of the globe.

Recently, during a meeting with the project’s promoters and partners, the Pope underlined the priorities of investment in children: “Children are the seeds of our future. As for children, there is a possibility to create the new one.

The idea was prepared by Mariella Enoc, the former president of the Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital in Rome which suggests that the given project has a manager with significant experience in healthcare management and clear humanitarian agenda. Her management is believed to be central to the successful coordination of the project.

Financially, it will be spearheaded by an American-based non-profit organization known as Patrons of the World’s Children Hospital. It focuses on two key areas: creating a network all over the world to help children’s health and enhance assistance to healthcare professionals in

different areas. This effort resonates with the World Children’s Day as it seeks to promote integration of humanitarianism with the intention of improving the lives of children in various parts of the world.

In particular, with the support and encouragement of Pope Francis, the Global Alliance is a significant advancement toward a healthier future for children in need around the world.
