BharatBox and GOQii Launch India’s First Health and Wellness Platform in the Metaverse

BharatBox, developed through a strategic collaboration between the Sandbox and start-up accelerator Brinc, has teamed up with GOQii, a smart-tech health firm, to establish the country’s first health and wellness world in the metaverse. The goal of this revolutionary partnership is to incorporate fitness and health best practices with state-of-the-art Metaverse into one ecosystem with the use of the Universal Health Token or UHT.

Saxo and Genesis desire the partnership to make preventive health care resemble a game in which the user earns tokens for performing certain activities, visiting certain health facilities, and partake in a rewards program that encourages preventive care. The UHT is an ERC-20 token built within the Ethereum network and will allow users to earn rewards for fitness milestones, purchase health related services, and seek healthcare advice.

This effort is poised to herald the coming of age of technology integration in the sphere of health, as India enters this newly christened age of the metaverse. It provides applications based on the user that offer an intersection between fitness activity, mental health and nutrition in a social computing environment.

CEO of BharatBox, Karan Keswani organsiedly pointed to the growth opportunities of this partnership, noting that the digital health sector in India, as well as startups in healthcare, are expected to grow by 127 percent from 2016 to 2023. The partnership is expected to drive the growth of a decoupled and decentralized Open Web expanding people connectivity, wellness engagement.
